Important Security Notice

LM Council uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including Firebase authentication, database security rules, server-side access controls, and encrypted transmission. That said, no internet-connected service can promise absolute security. Please do not put highly sensitive information into any AI workflow unless you are comfortable with the residual risk.

Welcome to LM Council. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LM Council web application, including any content, functionality, workflows, artifacts, and services offered on or through it (the "Service"). The Service is provided by the solo developer of LM Council (the "Developer").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

LM Council lets users interact with multiple third-party AI models, save councils, upload files, generate media, create previews and portals, and create one-off or recurring Tasks. Tasks may combine public search, future connected sources, artifact generation, scheduling, and in-app delivery. Some features may remain beta, invite-only, or reserved for later phases.

2. Age Restriction

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation: You must create an account to access the Service. We currently support email/password and certain third-party identity providers such as Google, GitHub, and X/Twitter.

Account Responsibility: You are responsible for activities under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify the Developer immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

4. User Content, Connected Sources, and Rights

Your Content:You retain ownership of the prompts, text, files, images, repos, URLs, task definitions, and other content you submit or connect to the Service ("User Content").

License to Operate the Service: You grant the Developer a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and transform your User Content solely as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service. That includes transmitting prompts and relevant task inputs to approved third-party AI providers, hosting generated artifacts, and maintaining run history.

Connected Sources: If you connect a third-party account or repository, you authorize LM Council to access only the scopes you approve. In v2, GitHub access is intended to remain read-only and review-only. Connected-source access may be revoked, paused, limited, or removed if needed for security or provider-policy reasons.

Sensitive Information Warning: Do not input passwords, financial credentials, medical records, trade secrets, or similarly sensitive material unless you have decided the residual risk is acceptable. You are responsible for your decision to submit such material.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any law or regulation.
  • Generate or distribute hateful, harassing, violent, sexually explicit, or otherwise unlawful content.
  • Spam, phish, impersonate, or automate outreach in a deceptive or abusive way.
  • Analyze a repository, document set, or other source that you are not authorized to access.
  • Use Tasks for unauthorized surveillance or invasive monitoring of individuals.
  • Generate malware, credential theft tooling, destructive scripts, or malicious diffs.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or degrade the Service or its infrastructure.

6. Tasks and Automations

Tasks are user-configured workflows that LM Council may run manually or on a schedule. You are responsible for the instructions, schedules, recipients, sources, and outputs you configure.

  • Tasks may pause, skip, fail, or be rate-limited.
  • Recurring tasks require credit caps and may auto-pause when those caps are reached.
  • Missed runs may be skipped rather than replayed.
  • Generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for direct use without review.

7. Connected Accounts and Delegated Access

Some features may require access to external services such as GitHub, and later Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Notion, or Drive. Any such access is scope-limited, revocable, and dependent on the applicable provider and your granted permissions.

Pre-Ltd rollout is designed around public tasks and GitHub App read-only beta. Delegated email and broader connector management are reserved for a later phase and may be subject to additional consent, provider review, anti-abuse controls, and account-level restrictions.

8. Third-Party AI Services and Provider Dependencies

LM Council depends on third-party AI and infrastructure providers, including OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, xAI, Perplexity, OpenRouter, Firebase, Google Cloud Platform, ElevenLabs, and potentially other subprocessors listed on the Subprocessors page.

The availability, pricing, model behavior, latency, and policies of these providers can change. Features depending on those providers may degrade, pause, or disappear without notice if needed for compliance, safety, economics, or technical reliability.

9. Generated Code, Diffs, and Artifacts

Generated code, diffs, patches, fact-checks, summaries, and other artifacts are advisory outputs. They are for review, not blind execution. You remain fully responsible for any code changes, communications, or decisions you make based on Service output.

GitHub-related outputs in v2 are intended to be review-only. LM Council does not promise that generated diffs are correct, secure, complete, or production-ready.

10. Credit System and Task Budgets

The Service uses credits to meter usage. Credits are consumed by text generation, images, audio, speech, portal creation, Tasks, and other features as configured in the application.

  • Credits have no cash value and are not redeemable for money.
  • The Developer may adjust credit prices, limits, and feature eligibility.
  • Tasks may reserve credits before a run and reconcile to actual spend afterward.
  • Tasks may be skipped or paused when budget, policy, or risk thresholds are exceeded.

11. Credit Blocks (One-Time Purchases)

Plus, Pro, and MAX subscribers may purchase one-time credit blocks subject to the pricing and eligibility presented at checkout.

  • Credit blocks are available only to supported paid tiers.
  • Reserve credits are consumed after your recurring monthly allowance.
  • Reserve credits do not expire while an eligible subscription remains active.
  • If your paid plan ends, reserve credit access may freeze after any applicable grace period until you re-subscribe or purchase again.
  • Credit block purchases are digital purchases and are non-refundable except where required by law.

12. Automated Communications

Email or other delegated outbound delivery on a user’s behalf is not the default v2 behavior and may be limited to later rollout phases. Where delegated delivery is enabled, it may be subject to recipient limits, anti-abuse controls, output review requirements, and immediate suspension if misuse or provider-policy risk is detected.

13. Beta Features, Revocation, and Suspension

Features may be labeled beta, preview, or reserved. The Developer may suspend or revoke access to features, connectors, tasks, or accounts at any time where reasonably necessary to respond to abuse, legal risk, provider-policy issues, billing issues, or security concerns.

14. Termination

The Developer may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for violation of these Terms, abuse of the Service, provider-policy risk, non-payment, or other legitimate operational or legal reasons.

15. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

The Developer does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, misleading, stale, incomplete, or unsafe.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Developer's aggregate liability arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed £1,000 in total.

16. Force Majeure

The Developer is not liable for any failure or delay in performing obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: third-party service outages or suspensions (including GitHub, AI providers, and cloud infrastructure), API changes or deprecations by third-party providers, internet disruptions, cyberattacks, natural disasters, government actions, or other force majeure events.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Developer from claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your configured Tasks, your connected-account usage, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.

18. Changes to These Terms

The Developer may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

19. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
